The years fly by!

Next week my oldest son will begin school. Thinking back to his very first day makes me realize I have nothing to worry about.
When he first begin it was me that was worried and concerned, he loved it, for him it was a smooth transition. Now I think to myself why was I so concerned? My main concern was that he would have difficulty communicating with others.

Even though we live in the country-side of Italy, at home we speak entirely English. For my son's first three years of his life we spent ever day, or almost everyday together. Mainly all Italian he would learn would be from my husbands family.

To my surprise and happiness, once he began attending school all day, he immediately began speaking Italian fluently. At this point I am now completely confident everything will go amazingly well this year!

Now when my two year old begins in a year, that may be another story!!

Take a look back at his very first day here.

Excuse me!

So sorry to my readers! The entire household has been sick. Winter is now upon us.

Our son was out of pre-school for two weeks, now that he returned, he is no longer excited about it. His first week, he was amazing, not a single tear. This week though every morning he cries. What a knot in my heart.

Well, and I have found out that I am addicted to Tumblr. So easy to use and so addictive!

So please excuse me for not updating lately.

Time Sure Flies!

My little angel in the world.

This morning was a trying day for me.

My son spent his first two and a half hours at school.

Wow, it sure seemed more like five hours.

Watching him play at the center of his classmates.

And this image of him, so small, standing in front of this huge door.

Time sure flies!

The Day Is Soon To Come

This morning I took a walk to Giovanni's soon to be pre-school.
I knew this day was going to arrive.

It was a wonderful joy to see him at the center of all the other children. Pre-school in Italy, I wonder how different it will be then pre-school in America. I am sure to find out.

The first difference I already have, in Italy, religion in school is vastly present.

The huge day arrives in September. I am sure it will be harder on me, not to spend my days with him, then it will be for him. He is certainly ready, he was so excited this morning, he didn't want to leave!
